Archbishop Mitty five-star forward McKenna Woliczko is officially a McDonald's All-American after receiving her game jersey on Wednesday at Mitty

Archbishop Mitty High School's basketball team has yet another reason to celebrate this season. On Wednesday, their star forward, McKenna Woliczko, was officially named a McDonald's All-American, receiving her game jersey in front of a cheering crowd at Mitty.
Woliczko, a five-star recruit, has been dominating the court for the Mitty Monarchs and catching the attention of college coaches across the country. Her impressive skills and dedication to the game have earned her a spot on the prestigious McDonald's All-American team, a honor bestowed upon only the top high school players in the nation.
The McDonald's All-American game, now in its 43rd year, has become a highly anticipated event for basketball fans. It showcases the best of the best in high school basketball and has become a platform for future NBA and WNBA stars. Many past McDonald's All-Americans have gone on to have successful careers in the professional leagues, including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.
For Woliczko, being selected as a McDonald's All-American is a dream come true. "It's an incredible honor to be recognized among the top players in the country," she says. "I couldn't have achieved this without the support of my coaches, teammates, and family."
Woliczko's coaches and teammates are just as excited for her. Head coach Sue Phillips, who has led the Mitty Monarchs to 14 state championships, praises Woliczko's talent and work ethic. "McKenna is an exceptional player with a fierce determination to win," says Phillips. "She has been a key player for our team and we are proud to see her receive this recognition."
Teammates and friends were also present at the jersey ceremony, cheering on Woliczko as she proudly donned her McDonald's All-American jersey. "McKenna is not only a great player, but also a great person," says teammate and fellow senior, Ashley Hiraki. "We are all so happy for her and know she will represent Mitty and our team well at the All-American game."
Woliczko's success on the court is not limited to her high school team. She has also been a member of the USA Basketball Women's U16 and U17 teams and helped bring home gold medals in international competitions. Her dedication to the sport and her exceptional skills have caught the attention of top college programs, and she has committed to play for the University of Oregon next season.
The McDonald's All-American game will take place on March 28 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Woliczko will join 23 other top high school players from across the country as they compete in an East vs West showdown. The game will be televised on ESPN and is expected to draw a large audience.
For Woliczko, this is just the beginning of what is sure to be a bright future in basketball. As she continues to work hard and hone her skills, she hopes to one day join the ranks of other McDonald's All-American alumni who have made a name for themselves in the professional leagues.
Congratulations to McKenna Woliczko on this well-deserved recognition. The Archbishop Mitty community is proud to have her represent the Monarchs at the McDonald's All-American game and wishes her continued success in her basketball career. Go Monarchs!
