Sheinbaum includes CATEM in the transformation efforts.

Claudia Sheinbaum, the National Coordinator of the Transformation, has integrated the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into her initiative to establish the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation.

“I am delighted to officially announce this significant coalition with the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico,” Sheinbaum remarked.

At the Arena Ciudad de México, the Morena party member inaugurated over 10,000 individuals who will form the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation, highlighting that these committees aim to ensure workers continue to receive a dignified life.

Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary General of CATEM, outlined the labor improvements achieved through the Fourth Transformation, including increased wages, extended vacation days, and the abolition of outsourcing.

“We are at a critical juncture, which is why today, at this congress, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, we reaffirm our dedication to the principles of the Fourth Transformation,” he stated.

Senator Ricardo Monreal also underscored the need to maintain a strong relationship between workers and the government, as this will help to further expand access to labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
