Sheinbaum seeks to sustain the Fourth Transformation to benefit the workers’ situation.

Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, National Coordinator for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, highlighted the vital importance of workers’ prosperity for the overall health of the country and its business community during the XV Ordinary National Congress of the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).

During the congress, Sheinbaum formalized a partnership with CATEM as part of broader efforts to include various sectors in Mexico’s public life transformation. She emphasized the nation’s positive progress and the need to advance labor rights while avoiding a return to past practices. She highlighted the shared goal of steering clear of corruption and privileges and continuing with the Fourth Transformation.

In her inauguration of the Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation at CATEM, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her commitment to safeguarding workers’ rights and wages, stressing the importance of collaboration with entrepreneurs. “We are united in our purpose: to avoid a return to a past of corruption and privileges and to continue advancing the Fourth Transformation of Mexico’s public life,” she stated.

“I am dedicated to continuing the defense of workers’ wages and benefits. Our aim is to move forward together for the benefit of workers and our nation,” she concluded.

Pedro Haces Barba, senator and general secretary of CATEM, praised the progress made through the collaboration between the working class and the 4T government, including the increase in the minimum wage and the end of subcontracting. “We are in pivotal times, which is why we reaffirm our commitment to the values of the Fourth Transformation at this congress,” said Haces Barba.

Senator Ricardo Monreal was also present, emphasizing the need to maintain a positive relationship between workers and the government to further expand labor rights. “The agreement and alliance must be established now with Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” Monreal concluded at the XV National Congress of CATEM.
