Early Saturday in Tehran, I received a call from my father. His warm, steady voice was a comfort to me, and yet I knew there was something he needed to tell me. As always, he controlled his emotions carefully and spoke in a calm manner. “The war has started. They hit several places. But don’t worry – I’m fine,” he said.
In that brief phone call, filled with tension and uncertainty, my heart ached for my father and my country. How could I not worry? How could I not feel helpless being so far away while my loved ones were facing danger?
I could sense the courage and strength in my father’s voice, as he reassured me that he was okay. It reminded me of the countless times he had been my rock, my pillar of support. I could feel his unwavering determination to protect us and his country, even in the face of adversity.
As I hung up the phone, I couldn’t help but think about the situation in my country. The attack had begun, and my heart went out to all the innocent people caught in the crossfire. It was a moment filled with mixed emotions – fear, worry, but also a sense of pride and patriotism.
In times of war, it is easy to become consumed by fear and negativity. The constant media coverage, the updates on casualties and destruction can be overwhelming. But in that moment, my father’s words reminded me to stay strong and positive. To hold on to hope, and not give up.
War brings with it devastation, pain and suffering. But it also brings out the best in people. It tests their resilience, bravery and compassion. I have witnessed this first-hand in my country. Despite the chaos, I have seen people coming together, helping each other, and showing remarkable acts of kindness.
My father’s calmness and courage in the face of danger is a reflection of the spirit of the Iranian people. We are a strong nation, and we will not be defeated by the enemies who seek to harm us. Our determination and perseverance will see us through this difficult time. We will rebuild, and we will emerge even stronger.
As I write this article, my thoughts are with my father and all the brave soldiers who are risking their lives to defend our country. They are the true heroes, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten. I am also grateful for the support and solidarity shown by other countries. It gives me hope that together, we can overcome any challenge.
In moments like these, it is important to remember that we are not defined by our circumstances, but by our response to them. We must stay positive and united, and not let fear and hatred divide us. This war may have started, but it will not break our spirit.
My father’s call may have been brief, but it was a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and strength. I urge everyone to stay strong and hold on to that hope. Let us stand together, hand in hand, and show the world that we will not be defeated. We will rise from the ashes and build a brighter future for our country.
In these difficult times, let us not forget to cherish our loved ones, our country, and the values that make us who we are. Let us pray for peace and a swift end to this war. And let us never lose hope, for it is the light that guides us through the darkest of days.
