NCS basketball playoffs: Tuesday’s semifinal scores, updated schedule

The North Coast Section boys and girls basketball semifinals in Divisions I, III and V took place on Tuesday night, and what a night it was! Fans were treated to an evening of intense and exciting games, with teams battling it out on the court for a chance to advance to the finals.

In Division I, the boys’ semifinals saw two highly competitive games. The first game featured the top-seeded team, St. Joseph Notre Dame, taking on De La Salle. St. Joseph Notre Dame came into the game with an impressive record of 25-3, while De La Salle had a record of 22-6. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets and playing tough defense. In the end, it was St. Joseph Notre Dame who came out on top, winning by a score of 68-64. They were led by their star player, Marcus Greene, who had an outstanding performance with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

The second game in Division I featured the 3rd seeded team, Salesian, against the 2nd seeded team, Bishop O’Dowd. Both teams were evenly matched and it was evident on the court. The game was a close one, with neither team able to gain a significant lead. However, in the final minutes of the game, Salesian was able to pull away and secure a 64-58 victory. Salesian’s standout player, James Akinjo, had a stellar performance with 25 points and 8 assists, leading his team to the finals.

On the girls’ side, the Division I semifinals also had two thrilling games. The first game featured top-seeded team, Bishop O’Dowd, against Heritage. Bishop O’Dowd came into the game with an impressive record of 24-4, while Heritage had a record of 20-8. Bishop O’Dowd proved to be too strong for Heritage, winning by a score of 63-48. They were led by their star player, Aisia Robertson, who had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

The second game in Division I saw the 3rd seeded team, Carondelet, take on the 2nd seeded team, St. Mary’s. It was a close game throughout, with both teams playing tough defense and executing their game plans. In the end, it was St. Mary’s who came out on top with a 55-49 victory. St. Mary’s was led by their standout player, Aquira DeCosta, who had an impressive performance with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Moving on to Division III, the boys’ semifinals had two exciting games as well. The first game featured top-seeded team, Branson, against Marin Catholic. Branson came into the game with an impressive record of 26-3, while Marin Catholic had a record of 23-6. It was a close game, but Branson was able to pull away in the final minutes and secure a 67-59 victory. They were led by their star player, Jaren Yang, who had 24 points and 7 rebounds.

The second game in Division III saw the 3rd seeded team, St. Patrick-St. Vincent, take on the 2nd seeded team, St. Joseph Notre Dame. It was a closely contested game, with both teams playing at a high level. However, it was St. Patrick-St. Vincent who came out on top, winning by a score of 55-50. They were led by their standout player, Dishon Jackson, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

On the girls’ side, the Division III semifinals also had two intense games. The first game featured top-seeded team, Bishop O’Dowd, against Miramonte. Bishop O’Dowd came into the game with an impressive record of 25-3, while Miramonte had a record of 23-6. Bishop O’Dowd proved to be too strong for Miramonte, winning by a score of 62-48. They were led by their star player, Jada Holland, who had 20 points and 8 rebounds.
