With the 2023 NFL season already in the record books, we can take a look back at the best performers of the campaign.
This year’s MVP race was one for the ages, and it went down to the wire.
Truth be told, at least two players could legitimately win the award, but that’s not likely to happen.
With that in mind, former player-turned-analyst Dan Orlovsky shared his NFL awards ballot (Via Dov Kleiman), and he had some solid choices.
What do you think of ESPN's Dan Orlovsky's 2023 AP NFL Awards Ballot?
He put Christian McCaffrey at #4 in the MVP rankings

Brock Purdy made the cut at No. 5.
He was one of the frontrunners, but some subpar performances against winning teams made him slip drastically in the rankings.
Christian McCaffrey could’ve easily been the MVP, as he led non-QBs in total touchdowns and was the focal point in the best offense in the league.
He proved again to be the most dynamic offensive player when healthy.
At No. 3, he had Dak Prescott, who played the best football of his career.
Then again, losing back-to-back games to the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins pretty much cost him the award.
Josh Allen got the nod at No. 2, which is perhaps the only surprise on his ballot, but it was still well deserved.
Allen struggled early in the season and did turn the ball over a lot, but he led the league in total touchdowns and led his team to a divisional title by peaking at the right time.
Unsurprisingly, he chose Lamar Jackson as the MVP.
While he didn’t post the most impressive numbers, the Baltimore Ravens were the best team in the league from start to finish.
The ballot also shows his favorite for coach of the year in Kevin Stefanski, with DeMeco Ryans being No. 2.
