They have also been dominant in the air, leading the league in interceptions and sacks. Not to mention that they have also been incredibly solid against the run, with just 3.1 yards per carry allowed. This impressive defensive performance has been a major factor in the Broncos’ recent success.
Offensively, Wilson has been spectacular as well. He has thrown for just under 3000 yards in the team’s first six games, with a completion rate of 72 percent. He has also been very efficient, with a quarterback rating of 114.7. He also has a strong supporting cast, with players like running back Melvin Gordon and wide receiver Courtland Sutton both having stellar campaigns.
The Broncos have also been successful on the other side of the ball. They rank in the top five in total offense and have been very effective in the red zone, scoring touchdowns on 71 percent of their trips inside the 20-yard line. This offensive production has been a huge help for the defense. When the offense produces points, the defense can play with more confidence, knowing that they don’t have to be perfect on every snap.
Overall, the Denver Broncos have had a tremendous start to the 2023 season.
