Democrat Mega-Donor, Who Visited Epstein Island, Says He Is Funding Nikki Haley to Stop Donald Trump

Nikki Haley’s bid for President has been fueled by the financial support of one of the most powerful figures in Silicon Valley – Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn.
Hoffman, a well-known Silicon Valley billionaire, is one of the biggest donors to Haley’s campaign and has been a major supporter of her candidacy even amid the high-stakes 2020 Republican primary race.

The most important reason for Hoffman’s support of Haley is that he sees her as a viable alternative to Donald Trump – the president who has only increased his popularity in the Republican Party since being elected. Hoffman has openly shown his disapproval for Trump and his policies and believes that of the choices available to the GOP in 2020, Haley would be best suited to provide a more moderate and less authoritarian approach.

Hoffman has been an avid supporter of Haley’s since 2015 when she was first elected to the South Carolina Governorship. He endorsed her candidacy and maintained a close relationship with her even as she became the United States Ambassador to the United Nations during Trump’s first term. Furthermore, in the various roles she’s held both in state politics and on the international stage, Haley has consistently displayed the qualities of a responsible leader – skills which Hoffman clearly admires.

Not only is Hoffman a financial backer of Haley’s candidacy, but he is also a believer in her ability to lead as President. He believes that Haley can bring together the different segments of the Republican Party by offering a more balanced, level-headed approach to the issues facing the country.

Hoffman’s opinion of Trump has also become more negative as the President has continued to make controversial decisions and comments. For Hoffman, it makes sense that the Republican Party should focus on finding a candidate who can offer a more moderate perspective in order to reduce the amount of partisan fighting in the U.S. government.

In an interview given to The New York Times, Hoffman said, “We need a President who will be able to bring people together and bring both sides to the table. Nikki Haley has proven time and again that she can do that.”

Haley has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s policies, especially on immigration and foreign affairs. On many occasions, Haley has contradicted the President publicly, while still maintaining a level of respect for the office. In response, Trump has made comments that hinted at his disapproval of Haley, although he never directly attacked her.

Hoffman believes that Nikki Haley is the best choice for the Republican Party and recommitted his support for her campaign in late 2019, when he donated an additional $250,000 to her campaign. This brings Hoffman’s total contributions to Haley’s campaign to over $2 million since 2015.

By throwing his financial support behind Nikki Haley, Reid Hoffman is making a strong statement: that the Republican Party needs a leader who will move away from Donald Trump’s divisive rhetoric and put an emphasis on compromise and unity. It remains to be seen whether the Republican Party will rally behind Haley’s candidacy, but for now, her candidacy has no doubt been bolstered by Hoffman’s support.
